Privacy Policy

Summary

ToolSMA tools run entirely in your web browser. The numbers, text, passwords, images and files you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not require accounts and do not collect names, email addresses or passwords.
  • We do not upload or store the content you use in our tools.

Exchange rates

The Currency Converter loads daily exchange rates from our server, which obtains them from the European Central Bank via the Frankfurter API. Your amounts are never sent — only a request for the latest rates.

IP checker and DNS leak test

The What Is My IP page looks up your IP address in a GeoIP database hosted on our own server (MaxMind GeoLite2) and performs a reverse DNS lookup. Nothing is sent to third-party IP services and results are not stored. The WebRTC check contacts a public STUN server (Google or Cloudflare), as any video-calling website would.

The DNS leak test makes your browser look up random, single-use hostnames on our domain. Our DNS server records which DNS resolvers performed those lookups so they can be shown to you; this data is deleted automatically after 10 minutes.

The UDP test sends STUN requests from your browser to our own STUN server and to public STUN servers operated by Google and Cloudflare. They reply with the public IP address the request came from; we do not store these requests.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the service running. These logs are kept for a limited time.

Cookies

ToolSMA does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated.
